Description:Photograph shows Charles Hales standing outside his stall at Cannock No.1 Market. A market trader since 1928, Charles was reported to be the 'World Egg Swallowing Champion'. It was said that In Tokyo in 1967, he swallowed 52 eggs and 52 cherries in 52 seconds.
