Description:A postcard view of the east front of Doveridge Hall, in Derbyshire, which was built in 1769 by Edward Stevens for Sir Henry Cavendish. It was the residence of Lord Waterpark in the early 20th century. The west front of the Hall overlooked the Dove valley towards Uttoxeter. The Hall was demolished in 1938.

This picture was taken by Alfred McCann who was a member of the McCann family of photographers from Uttoxeter.

This postcard was franked on 28 June 1908 in Uttoxeter and sent to an address in Great Haywood.
