Date:12th of June 1917

Description:Group of convalescing soldiers and nurses at the Red Cross Hospital then occupying St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Hall. In the background is St. Mary's Home on the opposite side of Station Road. The corner of St. Joseph's Hall is on the right hand side. Some of the soldiers are wearing 'Hospital Blues', others are in agricultural dress and some hold hay rakes. The occasion was a concert and pastoral play performed at the Woodlands, Stone, the home of Mr Oliver Dyke. Original postcard published by Phillip Dutton of Stone.
