Description:Photograph shows Job White's Mill on Compton, Leek. The section shown was designed by William Sugden and Son of Leek, Architects. A huge fire in the 1960s destroyed the majority of the mill, together with a number of adjacent terraced properties. The Sugden tower survived together with the section of wall next to it, although after the fire, only two stories high. The mill was completely rebuilt within one year. In 2018 everything except the Sugden tower was demolished prior to redevelopment of the site.
