Description:US Army personnel boarding buses having disembarked from trains at Cold Meece. Cold Meece railway station was built in by the London, Midland and Scottish Railway to serve ROF Swynnerton, a Royal Ordnance filling factory and opened in August 1941. The station officially closed in 1959.

This image is from the 'Yarnfield Yank', a booklet published in 1945 to commemorate the presence of US Army personnel at transit camps in Yarnfield, near Stone during World War II.
