Description:View looking along County Road towards the entrance to HMP Stafford on Gaol Road. The entrance visible in the photograph dates from the 1950s, when the original Victorian gatehouse (which stood out further into the road) was demolished. Along County Road itself can be seen a number of brick terraced houses, commonly found in this area north of Stafford town centre where many of the late Victorian and Edwardian shoe factories were once located.
