Description:An ambulance on standby outside Queen's Hospital, Belvedere Road, Outwoods, Burton-upon-Trent. The first phase of a new hospital at Outwoods was opened in 1972, part of the process of replacing the Infirmary and General Hospital which stood on Duke Street. A new maternity unit was opened in 1983 and phase II completed in 1993. The hospital was renamed Queen's Hospital by Queen Elizabeth II when she visited in 1995.
