Description:Anglers fishing in the River Trent, with Leander Rowing Club in the background. The Burton Leander Club was formed in 1847 and is one of the oldest rowing clubs in the country. Their boathouse is on Stapenhill Road. This Image is from a collection of photographs of Burton upon Trent commissioned and assembled by Burton upon Trent Civic Society as a record of the town in the year 2000.
