Description:Nash Cottage in Nash Lane , Acton Trussell with the Nash family in the foreground. The cottage was demolished around 1974 to be replaced with new houses.

The Nash family included Ephraim Nash and his wife Sarah (born 1844), daughters Edith (born 1872) and Hannah (born 1875) who were both dressmakers, daughter Mary (born 1878) and daughter Eva Sarah (born 1885), who was a school teacher. Ephraim, who appears quite elderly in this photograph, died in 1904.
