Description:Standing to the right is Nancy Davies (nee Shelley) who was conscripted as a mental nurse during World War II.

Originally built as the County Asylum in 1818, the building was later the County Mental Hospital before becoming St. George's Hospital in the 1950s after management transferred to the National Health Service . The hospital closed in 1994 nand has since been redeveloped as residential accommodation.
