Description:The funeral of Sir Thomas Fletcher Boughey, Bart. of Aqualate Hall held at All Saints Church, Forton.

Born at Aqualate in 1836, Thomas Boughey was educated at Eton and Christ Church and inherited the Aqualate estate on the death of his father in 1880. He was a keen agriculturalist and founded the Newport and District Agricultural Society. He was Master of the Albrighton Hunt between 1865 and 1887 and a member of the hunt for most of his life. he was also a member of the 2nd Stafford Militia of the Staffordshire Yeomanry and was Captain of the Newport Rifle Volunteers. He died on 30 August 1906, aged 70, after a long illness and was buried at Forton Church.
