Description:This postcard is post-World War 1 as the Hospital has changed its name to Ministry of Pensions Hospital. It was reportedly capable of housing 1000 patients and had 12 Wards in the main building. As you entered the site you passed the Officers Quarters, then as you drove down the main roadway you approached the first 6 Wards which had a tower housing a gravity fed water tank.
Besides the soldiers sitting outside their Wards you can also see the flag pole which was at the entrance to the main administration building. There then came a further six identical Wards with their own water tower. If you continued along the roadway there was the Nurses and Sisters Quarters and the Isolation Hospital.
