Description:Flour mill and mill race, off the River Trent, Alrewas. The corn mill was rebuilt as a cotton mill in the late 18th century on what was probably the site of the medieval mill. By the mid 19th century part of the mill had been returned to grinding corn, but the remainder was used to manufacture a variety of other items including wire, needles and tape. Between 1860 and about 1900 it was run as a flour mill. In the 1970s it was an animal feed mill, but has since been converted to residential use.
