Description:A postcard view of Market Place showing the Lion Hotel, which stands at the junction with Stafford Street. The building next to it was the Post Office at the time of this photograph, the proprietor of which was John Wakefield, who produced this postcard. On the left can be a sign for the Swan Hotel and its landlord Mr A. Lowder. On the extreme right is a chemist's shop.

Postcard published by J. Wakefield of Brewood, who as well as running the Post Office advertised himself in 1912 as 'baker, grocer, photographer, and wine and spirit merchant'. Postmarked 15 February 1910.
