Description:An interesting post card view of the St Luke's Church, Cannock, showing the churchyard prior to clearing the graves and putting it to lawn in 1949. It had been closed to burials since 1878. The large base stones in the wall are not visible today. Church Street on the left. The eastern half of the church, including the chancel and eastern two bays of the nave and aisles, date from 1878-82 and were built by N. Joyce of Stafford. The west tower is 14th century and there is medieval stonework in the north aisle.
