Description:The school was built in 1856 by public subscription, the principle benefactor being Lord Hatherton. It was designed to take upto 20 children, both boys and girls. Until 1920 the school was the focal point for all social activities and in 1918 there were celebrations in the school to celebrate the end of the 1st World War.
