Description:Two horse drawn vehicles cross the bridge over the River Sow and approach the bridge above the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal. A third bridge in the distance takes the road over the London & North Western Railway line. Below that was the Brocton & Milford Railway Station that the troops would have arrived and departed from. Twelve months after this card was written prisoners of war would be arriving here and have the long slow walk to Brocton Camp. The sender of this card was telling his daughter he is well and it is postmarked Brocton Post Office 21 March 1918. The name of this road has now changed to Holdiford Road.
