Description:A group of soldiers pictured in front of 'Hotel Cecil'.

No doubt many of the huts would have daubed with a name by soldiers to make their mark. These men are all from the same regiment and even though there are some young faces among them they seem to have a mature sergeant with them. They are holding plain dark flags, perhaps for sending signals on manoeuvres. They are in hut 15 but the letter to say which Battalion Line they is not visible in this image..
