Description:Local railway stock from West Cannock Colliery was requisitioned to haul the raw materials to build the Camps. This image shows London and North Western Railway rolling stock and may well be in the very early stages of the Camps construction.

Supplies were brought to the nearby main line where they were hauled up to the Camp by road using traction engines. This damaged the roads at great cost and hastened the construction of the military railway. When Rugeley Camp started construction at first they would have brought the materials up from the Trent Valley Station Once the hastily built military railway was ready materials came from Hednesford to start begin work on Brocton Camp until the line was extended to Milford.

This image is impossible to locate but could well be at either the sidings of a main line or an early section of the light railway within the Camp.
