Description:A postcard view of Mayfield Convent in Sussex. Originally built in the 14th century as a residence for the Archbishops of Canterbury, the buildings were converted for use as a Convent of the Holy Child Jesus School and opened in 1863. the school was renamed Mayfield School in 2015.

This postcard was probably acquired by Jake Whitehouse believing it to be Mayfield in Staffordshire.
