Description:Postcard view of the east front of Byrkley Lodge with cattle and the Lin Brook in the foreground. Byrkley Lodge was rebuilt for Hamar Bass of the Bass brewing family between 1887 and 1891. Sir William 'Billy' Bass left Byrkley Lodge in 1952 and the house was demolished shortly afterwards. The Stable buildings survived as a racing horse stud farm until 1992.

Byrkley Lodge's grounds are today the site of the Football Association's St George's Park National Football Centre.
