Description:This is the view north east from near The Jug Inn on Sneyd Street in Cobridge. Sneyd Colliery spoil tip is on the right with the winding gear, chimneys and aerial cableway to the left. Just in front of the tip, the line of three bottle ovens is the Britannia Pottery of A G Richardson & Co.
The area in the foreground was known as Jug Bank and is a series of shraff or pottery waste tips. Purbeck Strteet (formerly George Street) is off to the right. This area is now light industry.
