Description:Garden Foreman, Ed Steele, with his wife Ellen (left) and Muriel Jessop (right) outside one of the glasshouses in Shugborough Walled Garden during the Second World War.

Muriel Jessop worked as a Womens Land Army girl at Shugborough Walled Garden from November 1939 to Late 1944. The Walled Garden tenant at the time was Mr Heap.
