Description:The Lynton Tavern pictured during demolition in April 2015. The pub opened in the early 1960s as the Crossbow and became the Lynton Tavern in 1988. The building was sold in 2009 to be converted into a religious meeting place for the Brethren. The site was sold again around 2014 to the Co-op who then built a supermarket with two adjoining fast food outlets currently (January 2018) a Chinese take-away and a pizza take-away.
