Description:Badminton training at the Riverside Recreation Centre in Stafford. Leading a coaching session is Jim Robinson. He was a regular at Stafford Badminton Club, who played at Blessed William Howard School, and was dedicated to badminton coaching in the Stafford area. This photograph was taken by Stafford photographer Tony Boydon.

Riverside Recreation Centre was closed and demolished in 2008; it was replaced by the Stafford Leisure Centre, a new £15 million pound facility which opened nearby on Lammerscote Road in April 2008. In later years there was a major redevelopment on both sides of the adjacent River Sow and the site of the former Riverside Recreation Centre became part of the Riverside Shopping Centre which opened during 2016.
