Description:Mrs Emily Meakin pictured walking her dog in the grounds of her home, Darlaston Hall, near Stone. Born in 1842, she was the wife of James Meakin, managing director of J & G Meakin, pottery manufacturers. She lived at Darlaston Hall until her death in 1924. The Meakin family sold Darlaston Hall in 1951 and it was demolished shortly afterwards.
