Date:18th of October 1913

Description:Gustav Hamel was a pioneer aviator and the pilot of the first aeroplane to land in Stone. The event was arranged by Evans and Sons Garage. Hamel took off from Lammascotes in Stafford and landed at the cricket ground on Lichfield Road, where this photograph was taken.
