Description:Richard Brinsley Sheridan (1751-1816), dramatist, was born in Dublin. He was Member of Parliament for Stafford 1780 to 1806. When in Stafford, he would stay with his friend William Horton, the shoe manufacturer, at Chetwynd House. This token coin was issued as political propaganda for one of his election campaigns in Stafford in the late 18th century.
