Description:North Staffordshire Railway locomotive no. 39 2-4-0 was built in 1874 at Stoke Works. it was rebuilt in 1892 becoming a ‘C’ Class locomotive. It was withdrawn from service in 1912.

This photograph was taken by R.H. Bleasdale of Aston, Birmingham, who was a well known photographer of locomotives.
