Description:Pictured is Browse antiques shop which stood opposite Green Hall on Lichfield Road, Stafford. Previously the building was occupied by Giles' paint and wallpaper shop, with a section that sold glass. In later years Browse was demolished and the site redeveloped. Browse originally stood between Drakeford Court (retirement apartments built around 2005) and W.R. Davies, Toyota Garage.

The garage on the left of Browse is Bray's of Stafford's Datsun Garage. The site had previously been Boxall's Garage, then Bailey's until Bray's set up their dealership there in 1979. By 1988, it was Newbray's Nissan dealership and then A.F.G. before being demolished and occupied by W.R. Davies' Citroen Garage.

This photograph was taken by Stafford photographer Tony Boydon.
