Description:Workmen taking a break and looking down onto the Caldon Canal on the bridge.

The bridge is on the minor Froghall to Foxt road adjacent to the old warehouse by the picnic area. The bridge is the Western portal to the Froghall Canal Tunnel, and was constructed of 19th century blue brick. The workers seen here would have been employed at the adjacent canal and tramway terminus which closed in 1925.
