Description:Pictured are the remains of a tank ramp located close to The Cutting, Brocton Road, Milford.

The ramp was used to unload tanks manufactured during World War II by the English Electric Co., in Stafford. The tanks, which could have included Covenanter, Centaur, Comet and Cromwell models, were conveyed from the factory to the ramp. Here, vehicles could reverse up to the ramp to unload and tanks would then make their own way through the Cutting to the tank testing ground on Cannock Chase.
