In later years Annie worked for the Co-operative Store in Rugeley. Annie married Peter Thacker and they lived in Rugeley along with their three children. Florrie married Ted Hart (same surname) and lived with their daughter in Rugeley and for many years they operated a mobile fish and chip van around the local area including Colton, the Ridwares and Abbots Bromley.

Annie and Florrie had two brothers: Tom who later became an Engineer in London and John (known as Jack) who became a mechanic. Jack later joined the RAF and was demobilised during November 1919. At the age of 25 years Jack joined the Staffordshire Police in 1926 and worked in mining districts around the Rugeley area. He left the Police during 1931 and became a lorry driver, and later he kept a newspaper shop in Brownhills. Their father was James Hart who was a Police Officer with Staffordshire Police from 1898 until he retired in 1924. During his Police service he was known as ‘Bobby’ Hart.
