Description:Festival of Diwali at The Blessed William Howard School, Rowley Avenue.

Diwali is a Hindu and Sikh festival, also known as the 'Festival of Light' as it celebrates that darkness is driven away by light.

The festival takes place in October or November and lasts for 3 to 5 days. During this time there are bonfires, fireworks, singing and dancing. Families share meals and swop presents.
