Description:This hand coloured photograph was taken at the wedding of Reginald Brassington and Kathleen Williams, they are pictured outside the doorway of Christ Church, Stone. On the right there is a glimpse of a Bridesmaid.

Mr Brassington was a Corporal in the 13th Battalion of the South Staffs Regiment and attached to the Parachute Regiment. He was killed in action in 1944 (aged 29) in Normandy.

During the Second World War Mrs Brassington was a Munitions worker at the Swynnerton Royal Ordnance Factory.
