Description:On 27 November 1987 Stone Division Guides held a mammoth fund raising event at G.E.C. Stone in aid of the B.B.C. Children-in-Need Appeal.

Each unit held their own fund raising event, including an auction, 'campfire' and Mad Hatter's Tea Party.

Over £5,000 was raised and the cheque was presented to John Collard, Station Manager of B.B.C. Radio Stoke, by the Division President Mrs Trudie Mercer and Division Commissioner Mrs Jean Blacknell, in the presence of the Town Mayor of Stone Cllr. Philip Leason and Town Mayor's Consort Edith Leason.

Guides in the photograph include: Louise Alstone, Clare Burdon, Helen Thompson, Karen Smith, Avril Hamilton, Lucy Shaw, Clare Williamson, Nicola Brassington and Sarah Walker.
Clair Dennis is in the second row from the left in the first row of children in front of the adults. Rachel Hughes is the 5th guide from the right.
