Description:A group photograph taken on the occasion of Viscount Thomas Edward Anson's Coming of Age. He later became the 4th Earl. Although his 21st birthday was on 9 December 1904, Viscount Anson was travelling abroad at the time, so celebrations were delayed until the summer of 1905.

Thomas Francis Anson, 3rd Earl of Lichfield, and his wife Lady Mildred. To the right of Lady Anson is their son, Viscount Anson. They are standing on the steps of Shugborough Hall.

The other people in the group are Anson family members, tenants and senior staff. Over 800 people attended the celebrations.
