Description:Stone Town Band during a Remembrance Parade marching along the High Street towards the War Memorial in Granville Square. Among the members of the band is Eric Williams playing a cornet.

The Stone Town Band was created in 1954 after the disbanding of the Stone Volunteers military band, which had been active in the town since the early part of the century.

Today, the Band is in great demand to play at civic parades, social events and concerts in many different venues primarily around Stone town, but also around Staffordshire. The most popular performances are the annual Christmas Parties and Summer Concerts for the elderly residents in the town. The Band receives support from Stone Town Council and income is generated from its performances to cover expenses for its charitable activities.
