Description:Dr Ebenezer Taylor, F.R.C.O., who lived at 28 Eastgate, Stafford and was Mayor of Stafford in 1907-08,1908-09 and 1911-12.

Ebenezer Taylor was the son of Solomon and Sarah Taylor who ran the Forebridge Academy in Stafford. He was assistant organist at Hereford Cathedral and obtained his doctorate at Oxford in 1883. For 24 years he was organist and choirmaster of St Mary's Church, Stafford. He was a Fellow of the Royal College of Organists and examiner for the Royal Academy of Music.
