Description:The display is of autumn and winter coats in the windows fronting Crabbery Street. It used giant spiders' webs and leaves as props to catch the eye of passing shoppers. The webs were made from black knitting wool and the leaves were made from thin cards spray painted with bronze, gold and silver metallic paints.

The mannequins were made by Adele Rootstein, London, a leading manufacturer of the day. Many were modelled from famous people. The Display Manager was Mr Ray Fowler.

The Co-op Department Store closed on Friday 26 April 2013.

This image was taken at night-time using a Kodak transparency film.
