Description:Children of Lower Burnthill Lane are pictured celebrating Queen Elizabeth II's Coronation in Hagley Park. All children attending the party in fancy dress received a small silver plated cup and a certificate. The cups were engraved with each child’s name around the base and many of the children can be seen holding them in this photograph.

Amongst those in this photograph are: front left, Philip Flaherty (in the cowboy outfit), in the centre Jennifer Hancock (wearing a pointed hat), back row on the right Ms Winfindale, second from right Mrs Hancock; also on the right is Ann Martin (just above the cowboy hat).

The Rugeley Times reported that there were two fancy dress parades and Mr and Mrs Richards of Hednesford were the judges, prizes were as follows: Up to Eight years of age: 1. L M Hancocks (Drake), 2. Jennifer Hancocks (Hip Hip Hooray), 3. Rosemarie Millett (Red Cross). Eight to Fifteen years: 1. David Eaton (Mount Everest Climber), 2. Hazel Gregory (Britannia), 3. Bobby Bull (Minstrel).
