Description:Ben Shaw was King of the Uttoxeter Carnival in the 1920s. Ben is seen here with one of his horses, waving his handkerchief so the horse would prick its ears forward for the photograph.

Ben Shaws brother was Frank Shaw (TaTa) who kept a gentleman's outfitters who was also a character in the town. His other brother owned the New Road Garage for many years. Ben died in 1961 aged 71.
