Description:Highfield Hall, originally called Highfield House, was built in the 1810s by Richard Badnall, a Leek silk dyer, on land bought in 1801 by his father Joseph Badnall. It was bought by silk manufacturer Arthur Nicholson in 1885, who proceeded to extend it. The house has since been demolished and all that remains are the lodge and some of the outbuildings.
