Description:Marionette of young boy wearing green and blue tartan smock and green beret. Boy has red carved hair. Made by Frank Rose for the well-known puppeteer, Waldo Lanchester.

Frank Rose was a former Headmaster from Essex who joined the Lanchester Marionette Theatre after his retirement from teaching, partly to help out with shows, but mainly to design and make new puppets in the workshop. He was a remarkable craftsman, a perfectionist with great attention to detail.

This marionette forms part of the Hayward Puppet Collection, now part of the Staffordshire County Museum collection.
