Description:Tom Clarke on the right (1st Battalion North Staffordshire Regiment) in a New York bar called the American Inn, with friends.

Tom served in the Eighth Army in North Africa (Tobruk) and later joined the D.E.M.S. (Defensively Equipped Merchant Ships) part of the United States Maritime Service Training Station , Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, New York as a Gunner.
