Description:This Art Deco House sat high on a hill above the open-air swimming baths at Trentham. It was built in 1935 at the same time as the Swimming Pool which opened on the 9th July 1935. Pool House was the home of the Pool Manager.

The swimming pool was 130ft long by 60ft wide, and was fed by a spring from Black Brook, near Toft. The water of the pool was raised to a temperature of 60-70 degrees Fahrenheit after it entered the pool. The pool had under-water lighting.

The house was in an idyllic spot, but was sadly closed in 1976 and was finally demolished in 1986 when it was pushed wholesale into the swimming pool below.
