Description:The school building stands on the corner of school Lane and Main Road, Walton on the Hill, and closed in 1988. The building is now (2012) a nursery school.

William Longson, the Headteacher, is standing back left, and his wife Annie Longson, who was School Mistress, is on the right. Rita Woods is the third girl from the right in the second last row. Rita's mother Katherine Woods ran the village post office.
