Description:Ken Shelley at work, finishing off the repair of a beer cask by driving on the top or chime hoop. Ken was apprenticed as a cooper at Bass brewery in Burton upon Trent. Joule's cooperage stood behind the Crown and Anchor on Newcastle Street.
