Description:A meeting of Gayton WI, all inspecting new handbags. This photograph was taken by Uttoxeter photographer Gerald McCann in the old Gayton Village Hall. This building had originally been a barrack hut at one of the army training camps of Cannock Chase during the First World War. In 2007 it was dismantled, restored and re-erected back on Cannock Chase at Marquis Drive Visitor Centre.
