Description:Orlando (1608-1674) was the son of Dr. John Bridgeman, Bishop of Chester. He became a lawyer and had various government posts, including Custos Roturolum of Cheshire (1644-1646), Lord Chief Baron of the Exchequer (1660), Chief Justice of the Common Pleas (1660-1667) and Lord Keeper of the Great Seal (1667-1672). He presided over the trial of the regicides and became baronet of Great lever in Lancashire in 1660. He is the ancestor of the Bridgeman family, Earls of Bradford, of Weston Park.
